Annual Report

A Look At Our Impact Across the Year

Another year, another opportunity to celebrate all of the hard work Chicago United and our members have put into advancing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion throughout the Greater Chicago region.

Here's a quick look back at all that we accomplished in 2020 as we turn our focus and determination for change to the year ahead.

We welcomed
Tiffany Hamel Johnson

She joined Chicago United as our new President and CEO, making her the first African-American woman to hold this position in our organization's history.

We hosted five CEO Roundtables

Facing the dual pandemics of both racial unrest and COVID-19, Chicago United worked diligently to provide Chicago's CEOs with the insights and network they needed to navigate the events we found ourselves facing in 2020.

We hosted over
20 programs

Chicago United worked diligently to shift to virtual platforms, ensuring that our members receive the DE&I programming they've come to rely upon from Chicago United.

725 attendees from over 115 different companies attend at least one of our programs

Whether it was a roundtable, fireside chat, or webinar, one thing is certain: Chicago United's programming efforts in 2020 benefited a wide array of businesses across all industries.

Over 500 people celebrated the 2020 Bridge Awards

This year, we honored DG Macpherson, Chairman and CEO of Grainger, with the Bridge Award. The award represents an important part of Chicago United’s advocacy work in fostering multiracial leadership at the highest levels of Corporate America.

We recognized 70 individuals who completed the Corporate Inclusion Institute

Chicago United held a virtual ceremony to celebrate the hard work the individuals from Cohorts II and III put into completing this rigourous and transformative program.

We invite you to join us in 2021 as we are more determined than ever to accelerate access and opportunity across Chicago's business community.

We invite you to get involved with Chicago United, whether it be by joining one of our programs such as the Corporate Inclusion Institute, nominating a Business Leader of Color, or making a financial contribution to help fund our programming efforts.
